HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER OPEN TWO DOORS WHEN YOU HAVE BALLOONS IN THE CAR

Balloons with helium are great at parties, but not always great for the environment. While balloons accidentally get released regularly, consumers can help reduce the amount of balloon littering that occurs year round by making one simple change. Never opening two car doors at the same time. Let me explain.

When you buy loose, helium filled balloons, regardless of them being mylar foils or latex, they do not come weighed down by an anchor. While we bag your balloons, the bags are not weighed down enough either, so they can still float, bag and all. These facts are usually why we recommend anchor weights with every purchase, however, we understand that it may not be appropriate for every event. Once the bag of balloons has entered your car, it is fine so long as the air conditioning is running. When removing your balloons, be sure to open only one door at a time. When the door opens the balloons and bag may shift, even when anchored, it is okay. Remove the bag and hang on tight with two hands. The reason you cannot open more than one door at a time is that it will create a suction vacuum with the air rushing in, and pulls the balloons with the current, into the air.

Remember: Balloons can be hazardous to the environment, even biodegradable latex balloons like ours, by causing litter, power outages, etc.
